These terms cover your use of Limits Monitor for Claude Code (“the app”), a macOS application developed by Vadim Semenko, trading as ZeroSix Studio. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
The licence
The app is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscription, no trial and no locked features — everything described on this site is in the app you download. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on Macs you own or control, on the terms Apple sets out in the standard Apple end-user licence agreement, which applies in addition to these terms.
You may not resell it, redistribute a modified copy, or remove the notices that identify who made it.
What you need for it to work
macOS 14 or newer, the Claude Code CLI signed in on the same Mac, and a Claude Pro or Max plan. The app reads the limits of the plan you already have; it does not sell, extend, resell or otherwise provide access to Claude, and it cannot raise or reset a limit.
No warranty on the numbers
The readings come from Anthropic’s API and from log files on your Mac. Both can be unavailable, delayed or wrong, and the API is not ours to guarantee. The app is deliberately built to mark a reading it cannot confirm — dashed outline, the time it was last read, the countdown stopped — rather than to guess. Even so, it is a gauge, not a system of record. Costs it computes are estimates derived from local logs and published rates; your actual billing relationship is with Anthropic, and their figures are the ones that count.
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for work lost to a limit, for a decision made on the strength of a number the app displayed, or for any indirect or consequential damage. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Your Claude Code account
The app uses the credential the Claude Code CLI created, with your permission, to read your own usage. Your relationship with Anthropic — including their terms, their pricing and their limits — is entirely between you and them. Keeping your account in good standing is your responsibility, and revoking the app’s access at any time is your right.
Trademarks
Limits Monitor is an independent, unofficial app. It is not created by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. “Claude” and “Claude Code” are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC, used here only to describe compatibility.
Changes and availability
The app may change, and a future version may add or remove features. Distribution is through the Mac App Store, and availability there is Apple’s to decide. If these terms change materially, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the developer’s place of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving you of the consumer protections of your own country.
